GUC is looking forward to enhance and promote its excellence in research and teaching therefore it is aiming to:

- Attract top graduates to pursue their postgraduate studies at GUC
- Balance the quality of teaching and research activities according to the talents and needs of individuals
- Retain the committed, loyal and experienced co-workers through the creation of new career development track in teaching.

The main goal is to foster research and teaching at the GUC by offering study fellowships to top ranked graduates to pursue their postgraduate studies at the GUC. The GUC strategy is to balance the quality of teaching and the research activity in addition to building capacities of high caliber future academic staff members. Furthermore, the GUC will exempt the TAs with GUC supported fellowship grants from further financial obligations or extra years of work commitments after obtaining the degree as long as they are under the fellowship system.

Accordingly, The Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology at the German University in Cairo is pleased to offer Ph.D. fellowships in Pharmaceutical Sciences in the following departments:
1. Pharmaceutical Chemistry
2. Pharmacology and Toxicology
3. Clinical Pharmacy
4. Pharmaceutical Technology
5. Pharmaceutical Biology

The maximum duration of the fellowship is 3 years. Accepted candidates will work as teaching assistants and will contribute to teaching while pursuing their Ph.D.

Qualifications:
- Highly motivated GUC graduates with a Master’s Degree awarded in 2020-2023 from the GUC or a nationally/internationally recognized university.
- Candidates should demonstrate excellent teaching, presentation, and communication skills.
- Previous experience in the field of the selected department is an advantage.
- Having a publication from the Master’s project in an international peer-reviewed journal is an advantage.

The prescreened candidates have to go through the following selection process:
Potential candidates called for interviews will be required to prepare a 20-minute presentation consisting of a research proposal in the field of the selected department. The presentation should cover the introduction, aim, experimental design, methods, and references.
