This research cluster focuses on aspects of Machine Design and Optimization research that helps in the full utilization of computers , hardware and software, in the design, manufacturing and optimization processes. This can be conducted through simulation and modeling of design and manufacturing (metal forming) processes using finite elements and new optimization techniques.
