Objectives & Learning outcomes
- Introduce the candidates to the physiology of skin, hair, and nail, common disorders, and the required biochemistry and microbiology applications for safe and beneficial products
- Guide the participants to build a solid scientific knowledge of the ingredients' chemistry to choose optimum formulations for specific cosmetic products.
- Introduce the participants to the theoretical and practical applications of formulating procedures and methodologies for various physical forms such as Lotions, creams, gels, balms, pastes, solid tablets and aerosols.
- Introduce the participants to the most common analytical techniques and their standard controls for popular specialty cosmetic products
- Introduce the participants to the complete production lines of cosmetic products with the most common manufacturing machinery, packaging requirements and production planning.
- Discuss the Cosmetics business essentials and all the aspects that contribute to the success or failure of cosmetic products business.
- Set the fundamental marketing strategies and utilize the social media power on cosmetics branding.
Employability
Graduates of this program should have the fundamental and practical knowledge to be Beauty-entrepreneurs, cosmetic brand owners, cosmetic chemists, formulators, R&D, manufacturers, contract manufacturing, and production managers, supply chain of cosmetics, brand managers, and product managers in cosmetic enterprise

- Applicants that fulfill the admission criteria are invited via e-mail to take the GUC English admission test (GUC graduates are exempted from this test).
- Applicants who are accepted are invited for a short interview.
- Submission of requested documents on the day of the interview.
