Dr. Sarah El Deeb, Dr. Ahmed Wahby and Dr. George Sameh

The "Design, AI and Music" workshops recently wrapped up with tremendous success, featuring 15 workshops attended by 260 participants and guided by 22 esteemed academic professors. This significant event fulfills an old dream dating back to the German Cultural Week organized in the provinces of Upper Egypt years ago, now revived in Germany. The primary aim is to impart knowledge and skills in music, design, artificial intelligence, and communication.

These workshops, a collaborative effort between GUC, GIU, and GIU Berlin, attracted a diverse group of individuals from across the globe, including participants from Greece, Turkey, Germany, and many other nationalities. The international attendees came together to engage and communicate in various specialties, such as design, AI, music, the metaverse, and more. Beyond the educational benefits, these workshops also offer invaluable opportunities for travel, helping participants broaden their horizons, foster global connections, and experience the myriad benefits of cultural exchange.

The "AI & Digital Marketing for Creatives" workshop explored the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools with digital marketing strategies, focusing on creative applications and practical skills. Participants were engaged in creating visually compelling marketing materials using advanced AI technologies.

Key Highlights

1. AI and Digital Tools: The workshop covered the use of tools such as ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, Adobe InDesign, and Photoshop. Participants learned how to leverage these tools for effective digital marketing.

2. AI-Generated Video: Participants explored AI video generation using Runway ML to convert text and images into videos, enhancing their ability to create dynamic content.

3. Final Product: Each group created a poster designed to attract people to study at GIU, incorporating content in eight different languages. This poster showcased the use of AI in crafting a multilingual marketing piece.

4. Group Projects: Students were divided into eight groups, each focusing on a different region: USA, Brazil, West Africa (Ghana), Middle East (Arabia), India, China, Japan, Southeast Asia (Indonesia), and Asia. Each group tailored their marketing materials to the cultural and regional characteristics of their assigned location.

5. Practical Application: The workshop emphasized hands-on experience, where participants applied their knowledge to produce marketing materials that leverage AI technologies and address diverse regional markets.
