Documents Required for Travel

 

Please note that students staying for one or two semesters in Germany should apply for a “long stay - study visa” according to the regulation stated in the Website of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Egypt: http://www.kairo.diplo.de/contentblob/2657836/Daten/1658447/merkblatt_studium_arab.pdf

You are kindly requested to immediately start in preparing your visa documentation  after receiving the final acceptance e-mail by the GUC that your semester has reached the minimum number of paid students required by the GUC - as it may take a long time.

You are required to submit the documents below for your Visa issuance, please find the detailed requirements below:

The GUC assists its students in visa issuance and the travel logistics to Germany as follows:

  • Booking the visa appointment in coordination with the German Embassy in Cairo
  • Issuance of the health insurance policy by the international company MAWISTA
  • Offering an installment plan for the living expenses in Germany

Important notes:

  1. Please follow the Visa guide exactly or you may be submitted to pay extra charges at your appointment in TLS.
  2. Old passports & diplomatic passports are not accepted.
  3. Foreign students must have an original valid passport issued from their country and a valid residency in Egypt valid for three months after the trip return date.
  4. Male students must check for any travel-related needed documentation (موقف التجنيد, تصريح سفر ) at the Student Affairs Office – Counter 11 prior to their leave (Finalizing the papers takes 3 weeks minimum), as the travel tickets are non-changeable and their fees are non-refundable in the occurrence of any travel complications
