Course Outline

This course aims at teaching students the principles and conventions of architectural drawing. Emphasis is placed on developing the skills of imagination by using pen and pencil, emphasizing the importance of light and shadow in architectural representation. The course includes developing students' projection abilities from 3D drawings and vice versa, as well as developing their representation and rendering skills through the study of the principles of casting shades and shadows in architectural drawings; in addition to developing skills in interior and exterior perspective representation. Generally, the course aims at teaching students to draw efficiently and accurately according to different scales.
 
 
Course Outcome
Students should be fully familiar with the conventions of architectural drawing, and should be able to master drawing skills and projections using different tools and equipment. They should be able to draw efficiently and accurately (to scale).
