Computer Organization and System Programming (CSIS 402)
Offered By:
Media Engineering and Technology Faculty
Description
This course is designed with two goals in mind. The first goal is to teach the students the components of computer hardware such as processor, data paths and control, and memory design. These components will be studied with taking into consideration the performance evaluation. The second goal is to learn the basic principles involved in instruction set architecture and design; assembly coding will be our vehicle to do so. In addition, we are targeting some advanced techniques in computer organization such as pipelining, multiprocessors, multiprocessors on-chip, and network on-chip.
