  2. Representation of Data Data structures, containment tree, managed objects, management information base (MIB)
  3. Manager and Agent Concept Exchange of management information (CMIP, SNMP), proxy concept
  4. Network Resilience Network reconfiguration methods, automatic neighbour detection and self-configuration concepts
  5. AAA: Authorization, Authentication and Accounting
  6. Performance Management Traffic and performance monitoring
  7. Security Management Security policy, security protocols, firewall concepts
  8. Network Planning Traffic demand, traffic matrix, basic network panning methods
