German Delegation Visits GUC to Support Young Egyptian Talents

The German Ambassador to Cairo, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation from the Federal Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), visited the German University in Cairo (GUC), reaffirming Germany’s commitment to nurturing and developing young Egyptian talents.

As part of Germany’s ongoing support for education and innovation, the visit highlighted GUC’s initiatives aimed at inspiring and educating young minds through interactive learning experiences.

Programs Designed to Foster Young Talent

  • Sieger Explorer (Ages 4–16): A hands-on workshop series simplifying complex scientific concepts in chemistry, physics, and mathematics while also introducing programming, arts, and music to ignite curiosity among children.
  • Junior Talents (Ages 16–18): A program that allows high school students to explore their academic interests and gain insight into the diverse study programs offered at GUC.
  • Genius Getaway Day Field Trip: A unique educational experience designed for school students, offering an interactive and engaging way to grasp academic concepts through practical exploration.

Celebrating German-Egyptian Academic Cooperation

This visit comes as part of the 100th-anniversary celebrations of DAAD and 25 years of the DAAD Alumni Association, further strengthening academic cooperation between Germany and Egypt. During the event, DAAD awarded exceptional scholarships to outstanding students, emphasizing its continued support for educational excellence.
