Advancements in Food Analysis Workshop

GUC Berlin hosted the "Advancements in Food Analysis" workshop, a comprehensive program designed to deepen participants' knowledge in Food Chemistry and Technology. The workshop, led by Dr. Dina Aboushady, PhD, covered an array of essential topics within the field, including nutrient analysis, food adulteration detection, doping, and pesticide residues.

 

The workshop offered participants a unique opportunity to expand their understanding of advanced food analysis methods, utilizing the latest research and analytical technology. As part of the workshop, attendees were invited to tour the research facilities at the Freie Universität Berlin, where they gained firsthand exposure to state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and techniques used in food chemistry and doping detection.

 

During the visit, participants engaged in discussions with Prof. Dr. Maria Kristina Parr and her group of graduate students, who shared valuable insights into advanced doping detection methods and analytical processes used in food science research. The tour concluded with a comprehensive look at the university's research laboratories, where participants observed cutting-edge technology in action.
