Dr. Sherine Ahmed El Baradei

Dr. Sherine Ahmed El Baradei, Associate Professor of water engineering and environmental engineering at the Civil Engineering Program at GUC, became a professional/ expert to the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). She is a professional to UNOOSA within only 17 esteemed experts from around the world. Dr El Baradei stands as the only Egyptian and Arab female among these 17 experts. Her selection to be a professional to UNOOSA came after a rigorous selection criteria including an online interview that lasted several months. Upon UNOOSA’s invitation, Dr. El Baradei proudly represented Egypt at the United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) 3rd Space4Water Stakeholders' closed meeting in Vienna, Austria at the UNOOSA headquarters there. At the meeting, she served as a panelist under the “Space technologies and water quality assessment” session and gave a presentation entitled: " Impact of global warming on dissolved oxygen concentrations in rivers and on the waste load allocation plan of rivers; Case Study: River Nile, Egypt". Dr. El Baradei’s remarkable dedication for space exploration and water engineering was very much appreciated within the UN meeting.
