Description
Egypt’s population, currently 80 million inhabitants, will double within the coming 40 years, which requires the development of new urban settlements all over the country. The semester will focus on this theme and the students will be exposed to different types of architectural projects that serve this aim. They will be able to choose from a selection of projects that fit within a larger urban context that, in turn, fits within larger urban planning and regional planning schemes.
Each student will work on his/ her project throughout all design stages: concept design, design development and construction documents, working closely with “Construction and Project Management” students.
