Description

This course examines, in depth, the components and concepts of structural systems (steel, concrete and wood). It introduces the design development and construction of the building envelope and finishing systems.

The course investigates the impacts of various environmental influences on the building concept and construction like ventilation, daylight and energy balances in buildings. The course includes the analysis of simple case studies, field trips to buildings under construction and design assignments, focused on building construction
