Course given only for Biotechnology Bachelor students
It is a student's project, eventually leading to a B. Sc. (Bachelor) thesis, comprises original and independent research work to be carried out by the student. Topic and guidance will be provided by the supervisor, but students are expected to conduct their research independently.
Thesis Outline:
-Writing a research proposal to a granting agency
-Or tackle a scientific question posed by a scientific institute or industry
-Find solutions to a given (or chosen) scientific problem
-Search the pertinent literature, describe and summarize the background and premises
-Propose an experimental program from a theoretical and practical viewpoint
-Eventually do some scientific experiments under supervision of a staff member
-Write a report discussing the given problem, background, literature and proposed or developed experimental solution
-Discuss this report with students and teachers
