Basic toxicological principles as applied in the study / detection of potentially harmful chemicals, with relevance in drug design and therapy, forensic medicine, and environmental toxicology.
Incidence of poisoning, mechanisms of cellular toxicity, factors modifying toxic effects, relevance for adverse drug reactions. Mutagenicity and carcinogenicity. Management of the poisoned patient.
