Electronic configuration of atoms, chemical bonding in molecules, metals, and semiconductors, and crystal structure of ionic solids, the principles underlying the periodic table of elements; the stoichiometry of chemical reactions; properties of acids and bases, introduction into redox reactions, electrochemical applications and chemical kinetics.
Learning basic chemical laboratory techniques, qualitative analysis of inorganic substances/drugs, identification in a mixture.
