General Purpose of the Position :
This position provides administrative support functions for the purchasing Department, ensuring efficient office operations and has the ability to work independently in a fast pace environment. Strong initiative and follow through is essential for this position. Candidate will report to the Head of the Department.

•Manage department contracts and purchasing requests.
•Assist with creating/editing executive and/or departmental documents and presentations.
•Establish, update and maintain departmental files (paper and electronic) and records.
•Oversee and execute timely completion of projects.
•Handle confidential material effectively and discreetly.
•Screen telephone calls, take messages, redirect calls, and respond to routine inquiries regarding departmental business.
•Creates databases, performs data entry, participates in purchasing projects by researching or providing relevant information; prepares reports accurately and within the allowed time frame.
• Ensures purchase orders and supporting documentation are delivered to vendors by facsimile or by other delivery methods as requested by Purchasing staff.

•Education: University Graduate.
•Experience: 0 to 2 years’ experience

•Fluent in Arabic, and good in English language.
•Excellent communication skills written and verbal
•Effective administrative skills, including the ability to organize and prioritize own workload in order to meet tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
•Ability to demonstrate effectiveness and creative problem solving skills
•Self-starter, willing to take on special projects and initiatives
•Ability to work confidently with a range of people, both within the University and externally
