Regierender Bürgermeister Michael Müller Prime Minister of the state of Berlin & Minister for Science youth and Education, Ms. Sandra Scheeres visit GUC Berlin Campus

Mr. Michael Müller, Prime Minister (Regierender Bürgermeister) of the state of Berlin, visited GUC Berlin Campus on April 5th, accompanied by members of the State Berlin government. On top of the delegation was Ms. Sandra Scheres, the minister for education and youth, the major of district Reinickendorf, Mr. Frank Balzer, the district counselor for Culture Frau Schultze – Berndt and district counselor for urban planning and environment Mr. Martin Lambert. The event was also attended by the Egyptian Ambassador in Berlin, his Excellency Mr. Badr Abdel Aty. 

 

Prof. Ashraf Mansour, Prime Founder of GUC and Chairman of the board of trustees, welcomed his guests by a speech emphasizing on the profound cultural and scientific relations between Egypt and Germany over the past years, that were deepened since the inauguration of the GUC in 2003 followed by an affiliated branch in Berlin inaugurated in 2013, facilitating cross- continents movement of students from Egypt to Germany and vice versa.

 

In his presentation Prof. Mansour showcased the latest developments of the GUC Berlin Campus. He also revealed the latest one of its kind project in Egypt and the region, the GUC Solar City, which is to be inaugurated in April of this year.

 

The delegation was guided on a campus tour to see all the facilities and prospective projects at the GUC Berlin Campus. They also visited the architecture exhibition on campus, where GUC students presented their architectural designs and projects, which they have developed during their semester stay at the GUC Berlin campus.
