The German University in Cairo and the University of Stuttgart initiated the scientific workshop entitled “Innovative Methodologies and Technologies for Sustainable Communities” to enhance the cooperation between German and Egyptian experts in this ever more important field of research.
The event is organized and hosted by the German University in Cairo and jointly sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The workshop is focusing on the presently available innovative methodologies and technologies to ensure a sustainable development for the future in Egypt, Germany and worldwide. The topic of sustainability will be investigated from several aspects, including social implications, issues of water management, transportation, architecture and structural engineering. Invited speakers include, in addition to scientist from Egyptian and German universities, representatives of major governmental institutions and key companies operating in the field of sustainability.
The goal of the event is to bring together stakeholders in this field from Germany and Egypt, to provide a platform to present the current areas of investigation specially in the fields of renewable energy, transportation problems, sustainable urban planning, management of water resources, structure engineering and sustainability in finance and economics to encourage the forming of joint research cooperation programs.
