Cordially invite you to a workshop entitled

Toward Socially-Responsible and Sustainable Management Education and Practice

May 6-7, 2015

Conrad Hotel

Faculty development initiatives are an essential part of business school growth and maturity since they lead to teaching and research development and enhance benchmarking against – and relating to - international standards. The case study method is considered one of the most influential learning methodologies since cases are applied on companies and best practices in industry, and are considered a publication for faculty members engaged in developing and writing them.

The importance of responsible management education and practice is also an issue of utmost relevance to the corporate world at modern times. It is considered an important stepping stone in the development of Egypt. Universities and research centers have a critical role to play in guiding the development of sustainable management practice. Corporate managers and employees represent a constructive force for the implementation of values in their organizations.

Emanating from a strong belief in socially-responsible and sustainable management education, this workshop features the Giving Voice to Values (GVV) case studies program developed by Prof. Mary Gentile, Director of GVV and Senior Research Scholar at Babson College, US. The GVV program relates to all management departments and was presented in many countries around the world. The workshop will also explore the expectations of the companies towards the role of universities in ameliorating corporate CSR performance.

The workshop will take place at Conrad Cairo hotel on May 6-7, 2015 and will be preceded by a pre-workshop seminar on May 5, 2015 at the GUC. The workshop is open to all universities in Egypt and the MENA region. Arabic translations will also be available at the workshop. [Download Agenda here]
