Prof Ashraf Mansour at the AHK Exclusive Business Dinner Event, the German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, 2019.

The German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce has organized “the AHK Exclusive Business Dinner” on Wednesday 19th of June 2019.

The Event revolved around “the New Projects, Strategies and Initiatives in the Infrastructure Sector in Egypt”.

Mr. Emad Ghaly, Chamber’s President started the event with a welcome speech.

The guest speakers were:

  • Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mansour, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo
  • Guest of Honor: H.E Dr Assem El Gazzar, Ministry of Housing Utilities and Urban Communities.
  • H.E. Julius Georg Luy, German Ambassador in Egypt
  • Mr. Jan Nother , CEO, GACIC
  • Mr.Hans-Heinz Dilthey Treasurer , GACIC
  • Dr. Nashwa Saleh, CFA Founder BAST & Visiting Professor of Finance, AUC  

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mansour, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo introduced the different facilities and the latest technology inside GUC campus and the national ongoing projects “Branding Egypt “which was a presidential assignment from the President Abd Afattah ElSisi to rebranding Egyptian governorates after the successful rebranding model in Luxor. In addition, Prof. Mansour mentioned that the German University in Cairo – GUC along with German International University of Applied Sciences - GIU AS – the sister university-  were representing the German Education Section in the Global Forum for Higher Education and Scientific Research – GFHS, which was held in the New Administrative Capital at El MASA Hotel.

It is worth mentioning that The German International University of Applied Sciences (GIU AS) is located in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital. GIU AS introduces the new concept of “Applied Sciences Universities” in Egypt which is considered one of the fundamental pillars of the solid German Higher Education System. Together with research universities, they both shape and characterize the world renowned German Higher Education System that puts Germany as one of the most advanced economies of today’s world. Strongly focusing on practical oriented teaching and research applications, “applied universities” offer the “do-how” “know how” that are behind global brands.

At the end of the event, The German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce bid a farewell to the Members, Burkhard Hinz, Director of KfW and Oliver Idem, Director of GTAI.
